Questions You Are Answering Hope To Answer

By this point you have a topic to which you can offer unique insight. As you collect field research (interviews, site visits, data analysis) and secondary research, keep thing about what questions your are answering and hoping to answer.

Example:
Topic: coal mines
Narrowed Topic: Coal mining culture in the “famous Pittsburg No. 8 seam”
Research Questions: Why do these men willingly take on this dangerous and dirty work?

What is the history of the seam?

What is the reality of mining coal underground like?

How is the present life of coal miners different than the past?

What do coal miners think of their work?
