Like Sedaris, tell a story of a friend or family member that you know they wouldn’t want told. You MUST make the person unidentifiable. 1) change name and 2) change relationship so if it is a sister make it a friend, if it is a college friend make it a work friend.

Post the m interview conducted in class. Describe the focal point object and then use it as a metaphor that can describe the essence of your classmate. This Bobbie’s coffee becomes a metaphor for her allegiance to her family and home (despite her traveling so far from them for school).
